Records of this council (prior to 1987, the Nonpublic School Study Committee) established by the Commissioner of Education to form a better communication system between the Commissioner's Office and the state's nonpublic schools. Included are council minutes and agenda packets (1975-1999), subject files, documenting such topics as complaint procedures, a governor's committee and discussion group, and tuition tax credits (1970-1999), and files of a compulsory school attendance task force (1981-1987).
